Though not the best fit for everyone, for some individuals it is a good avenue to pursue.

An EB-5 visa makes it possible for foreign investors, as well as their families, to obtain a route to enter the U.S. while either investing in a business or financing a regional center in a U.S. location that is located in an area sparsely populated and has issues with high levels of unemployment. The EB-5 investor visa program is offered through the U.S. Citizens and Immigration Services. Though it is two decades old, only recently have immigrants really begun to take advantage of it.

While there are many areas throughout the nation in which an investor's funding could be used, it is possible that immigrant investors could find their way to South Florida via an EB-5 visa.
