Obtaining entry into the US via EB-5 visas

There are many individuals throughout the Miami area from other countries who as seeking authorized entry into the United States and citizenship. Anyone who has faced this challenge likely knows there are multiple ways in which this may be accomplished. One of those ways is through an EB-5 visa. Though not the best fit for everyone, for some individuals it is a good avenue to pursue.

An EB-5 visa makes it possible for foreign investors, as well as their families, to obtain a route to enter the U.S. while either investing in a business or financing a regional center in a U.S. location that is located in an area sparsely populated and has issues with high levels of unemployment. The EB-5 investor visa program is offered through the U.S. Citizens and Immigration Services. Though it is two decades old, only recently have immigrants really begun to take advantage of it.

While there are many areas throughout the nation in which an investor's funding could be used, it is possible that immigrant investors could find their way to South Florida via an EB-5 visa. Many already have. Out of a total of 250 regional centers nationwide, 20 of them are located in the state of Florida.

When it works, an EB-5 visa is a benefit to both the residents of the U.S. as well as to the investor. Current U.S. citizens reap the benefits of job creation and economy stimulation. In addition to investors being granted authorized entrance into the country, in some situations, once here, the investor and his or her family could work to obtain a green card. Because this is often a complicated procedure an immigration attorney can often be of assistance.
