At Weiss, Alden & Polo we feel it is important to routinely reward our team for their efforts, care and diligence in the office. We also appreciate the proverb about "all work and no play..." so every quarter, we aim to treat our staff and their families to an enjoyable event around South Florida and in turn support local businesses.

On Sunday afternoon, June 7th 2015, members of the firm and their guests and families took part in a walking tour of Little Havana. We explored Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street) together where we shared Cuban Coffee, learned about the history of the neighborhood, the architecture and the various immigrant communities who have built up the area. We also visited local businesses, listened to great music and learned about famous Cuban artists. We ended the day reflecting over what a privilege it is to live in South Florida where we have a blend of so many heritages and toasting over mojitos at the historic live music venue, Ball & Chain.

On a perfect South Florida weather Sunday morning, January 19, 2014: For fitness, fun and ultimate stress relief the firm and guests participated in a group bike tour of Las Olas and downtown Fort Lauderdale including area parks, cafes and sweet shops. The Weiss, Alden & Polo team received our fill of exercise, sing-alongs, ice cream and sun as we explored the local community together.

July 21, 2013: The members of the firm and their families were tourists in their own town for a day as they partook in a historical walking tour of Miami with Private Tours Miami. Highlights included the Miami Circle at Brickell Point, an ancient Native American archaeological site, the historic Biltmore Hotel and local neighborhoods surrounding downtown Miami such as Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Little Havana and Overtown.

How we continue to educate ourselves - Conferences attended

Immigration law is a complex area of law. It is also an ever changing area of law so at Weiss, Alden & Polo we believe it is important for our attorneys to continuously educate ourselves in our practice area. We invest our time in attending national conferences and other immigration conferences both locally and outside of the US in order to keep abreast of all new developments; to be better practitioners and to represent our clients in the best way possible.

For instance, we attend all annual national American Immigration Lawyers Association Conferences every June. We also attend EB5, Immigrant Investor conferences and the South Florida American Immigration Lawyers Association Conference in February. We frequently participate in Audio and Web Seminars focused on developments in Immigration Law.

We immerse ourselves in immigration law so we can focus purely on the immigration needs and solutions of our clients.
