Associate Attorney Stephania Bertoni was born in Miami, Florida and raised in South Florida. She is of Chilean and Italian descent and is fluent in Spanish. She graduated Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in May 2014 and is admitted to practice law in Florida and all federal jurisdictions. Additionally, Ms. Bertoni attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida where she double majored in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Studies and minored in History.

While in law school, Ms. Bertoni was awarded the Merit Scholarship for her three years of law school. She was an active member of the Nova Law Review as a Junior Staff member in 2012-2013 and served as the Managing Technical Editor on the Executive Board of the Law Review for 2013-2014. Ms. Bertoni was honored with publication of her law review article titled "President Barack Obama & the Department of Homeland Security's Temporary Relief for Qualified Undocumented Individuals in the Absence of Congressional Action for Permanent Relief," in Volume 37 of the Nova Law Review. As a member of the Executive Board, Ms. Bertoni taught an editing class for incoming Junior Staff members and was a guest instructor to Nova Law's first-year students' writing courses. Additionally, while in law school, Ms. Bertoni was an active member of the Immigration Law Organization, which she currently serves as guest speaker, and a student member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

While at Florida Atlantic University, Ms. Bertoni was recognized as an outstanding scholar and awarded a full scholarship to the University on behalf of the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale.

Ms. Bertoni has had firsthand experience with the immigration laws of the United States having gone through the process with her two Legal Permanent Resident parents. This experience has provided her with a unique perspective and understanding of the impact immigration laws have on clients.

Ms. Bertoni's legal experience, specifically in the area of immigration law, has consisted of serving as a legal intern for Immigration & Custom's Enforcement working alongside Assistant General Counsel before the Immigration Court. Additionally, during her third year of law school, Ms. Bertoni served as a legal clerk for two prominent South Florida Immigration firms where she had firsthand experience in the area of family based immigration, defense immigration, employment based immigration, and investor immigration.

Currently, Ms. Bertoni is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Miami-Dade Young Lawyers Division.
